It rained, then it poured and we were marooned (purposely) on a grounded Ferry in Sydney Harbour (which we paid mightily for) with no alcohol allowed and no food for purchase for five hours but then you gave us 13 minutes of this/bliss. Happy New Year everyone! I wish you a kick arse 2019!

Thai Massage and VIP Lounges
CLICK BAIT-y subject line, I know! I have no shame. I am ready to work for any crack entertainment related publication creating misleading headlines that will have me. No, I have not had a Thai Massage or frequented a VIP Lounge, but, I would guess anyone who has frequented the Sidney Central area where Ed…
Off to Bondi Beach
Beach people we are not. Long sleeve Jean shirt – check : )
The Ed has landed (in Sydney)
First, an administrative note. I have been informed that all of a sudden the “comment option” has disappeared from my posts. That was not purposeful. I wouldn’t know how to do that even if I wanted to! Likely happened because I was posting a different way to try and troubleshoot the image attachment issue. ARGH….
Things that could go wrong on the Great Barrier Reef

How 47 years of dressing for winter in summer may finally pay off
Despite the warnings of most (okay all) travel books (yes, I still consult travel books old school style) that summer is really not the time to visit Alice Springs / Uluru given it will be VERY HOT, I decided to forge ahead. Summer is when I am here and how bad can it be? Apparently…
The Menace of Me
This morning I walked into the guest laundry room of my hotel and was confronted by machines with so many buttons and options I almost cried. I talked myself off the ledge by actually talking to myself (you can do this!) and then I proceeded to make very uninformed choices. Spin? 400, 800, 1000 etc?…
